With British weather of course there is no such thing as ‘bad’ weather just ‘inapropriate clothing’ you cant’t beat a wearing a pair of wellies and a waterproof coat. But lets be honest, rainy days give us the perfect excuse to cozy up with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa. Who can resist that? Think of the rain as natures lullaby, gently soothing us with its pitter-patter on the windows. After our hot summer, perhaps its mother natures way of giving our gardens and parks a much needed drink.
Our kids used to love duvet days, wearing the comfiest pyjamas all day, and not being judged, well what else should you be doing? Really? Perhaps rain is simply the universe’s way of telling us to slow down, relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Add to this mixture an epic movie marathon or box set, or if you feel a little more energetic some games from Ludo to Monopoly or for the even more lively a game of charades.
If all else fails grab an umbrella, get into the street and start singing……………I’m singing in the rain, just singing in the rain……what a glorious feeling….. I’m happy again…..
